Ultra-compressed code review comments — one line per finding: location, problem, fix.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Write code review comments terse and actionable. One line per finding. Location, problem, fix. No throat-clearing. > **Scope:** This skill governs **review tone** (terse, signal-only, no praise, no nits). For the **posting mechanism** (inline GitHub PR comments, suggestion blocks, severity-event mapping that prevents "approve while flagging bugs" contradictions) see `orc:inline-review`. The two compose: comment bodies follow caveman-review tone; the inline-review skill handles how those bodies get posted. ## Rules **Format:** `L<line>: <problem>. <fix>.` — or `<file>:L<line>: ...` when reviewing multi-file diffs. **Severity prefix (optional, when mixed):** - `🔴 bug:` — broken behavior, will cause incident - `🟡 risk:` — works but fragile (race, missing null check, swallowed error) - `🔵 nit:` — style, naming, micro-optim. Author can ignore - `❓ q:` — genuine question, not a suggestion **Drop:** - "I noticed that...", "It seems like...", "You might want to consider..." - "This is just a suggestion but..." — use `nit:` instead - "Great work!", "Looks good overall but..." — say it once at the top, not per comment - Restating what the line does — the reviewer can read the diff …

How to install
mdr add higoralves/orc/caveman-review@sha256:d88aba945ec62345The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261020.7a1f356, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
