Set up a registry of skills and agents for a person or a team, from nothing to installed. Use when asked to create, start or set up a registry, share skills with a team, or turn a folder of existing skills into a registry.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Set up a registry A registry is a folder holding `registry.json`, `index.json`, and every artifact under `artifacts/<namespace>/<kind>/<name>/<version>/`, usually kept in a git repository of its own. Installs from a repository see a release once it is committed and pushed; a registry in a folder on this machine is read as soon as `aireg registry index` runs. Pass `--json` to the CLI and read `data`. Ask before `gh repo create` and before `git push`, even when the user asked for a repository: confirm the owner, name and visibility first. ## 1. Agree on three things first Ask, unless the user already said: - **Name**: short and lowercase, usually the team or organization. People install with it: `<registry>/<namespace>`. - **Namespaces**: one per team or area, such as `platform` and `data`. One is fine to start. - **Repository**: which owner, and private or public. Give the registry a repository of its own: releases, reviews and the validation check then cover the registry and nothing else. For one person, one namespace such as `personal` is enough, and the registry can be a private repository or a folder on this machine with no remote. The **One person** notes below say …

How to install
mdr add atlanai/ai-registry/aireg-new@sha256:966b21afd54d6556The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.5e72f77, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
