# /prozessrecht:mahnverfahren ## Zweck Das gerichtliche Mahnverfahren titelt bezifferte Geldforderungen ohne mündliche Verhandlung und ohne Schlüssigkeitsprüfung. Es ist schnell, billig und automatisiert (zentrale Mahngerichte). Sein größter Wert liegt in der **Verjährungshemmung**: Die Zustellung des Mahnbescheids hemmt die Verjährung wie eine Klage.
