Use when refining a draft plan, stuck iterating, or deciding whether to escalate to a human. Converges via 4Q loop.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Plan Iteration Gate Convergent phase: from approved spec → plan.md with steps, each observable. Runs 4 questions per iteration — per latest fix (b) is "better way", not just "better split". ## Trigger Complex tasks: ≥3 steps, ambiguous, irreversible, externally visible, high-stakes, or >2 iterations expected. Skip for trivial one-liner. ## Loop — 4 questions per iteration For each iteration ask in order (a)..(d). Patch plan, re-ask all. How to install
mdr add rikvanriel/code-hygiene/plan-iteration-gate@sha256:4ca5cc78f2b64458The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.2.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
