Re-reads open issues against the current tree and posts a verification comment on each, flagging anything already fixed, partly stale, or wrong to do. Use before acting on a backlog, triaging a milestone, or when asked whether filed issues are still real.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Issue verification An issue is a claim about a tree that has since moved. This skill re-reads each one against current `HEAD`, decides whether the claim still holds, and writes that decision down where the next reader will find it — on the issue. Verification is not agreement. The output is a disposition for every issue looked at, and "this was fixed three commits ago" is as useful a result as "still stands". ## Gather the facts first ```bash ~/.claude/skills/issue-verify/scripts/issue-facts.sh <N> [N...] ``` Per issue it prints the metadata, then rows you can grep: ```text FILE present|MISSING <path> every source path the body names SYMBOL present|MISSING <name> every backticked identifier SINCE filed at <sha>; <n> commit(s) touched its files since DEP blocked_by #N [OPEN|CLOSED] ``` **`SINCE` is the row that earns this script.** It lists the commits that have touched the issue's own files since it was filed, which is the difference between an issue nobody has been near and one whose ground has shifted under it. **A `MISSING` row is a prompt, not a verdict.** An issue may correctly name a file it is …

How to install
mdr add philoserf/claude-code-config/issue-verify@sha256:a179c7351a732c8dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261026.5b78e51, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
