This skill asks questions to define a research goal. You use it when the scope, assumptions, or success criteria are unclear.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Clarify Goal You must read and apply the [language rules](../reaper/references/language.md) before you write any output. ## Usage You invoke this skill by name with a quoted goal and an optional paper path. Slash-command hosts use `/clarify-goal "<goal>"`. ``` clarify-goal "explore the feasibility of post-quantum threshold signatures" clarify-goal "is this protocol secure?" path/to/paper.pdf ``` The quoted research goal is required. An additional path to an existing file identifies the paper. ## Instructions ### 1. Read the Paper If the user supplies a paper, you scan it for this information: - The paper's topic, system, and protocol. - The paper's main theorems, security properties, and performance results. - The sections that contain each result. You leave full analysis to the `analyze-paper` skill. If the user supplies no paper, you use the goal and research domain. ### 2. Identify Unclear Requirements You check the goal against the paper or research domain. - **Scope:** You determine which papers, sections, theorems, or protocols the goal covers. - **Definitions:** You identify terms with multiple meanings, such as security under different adversary models. …

How to install
mdr add sebastianelvis/reaper/clarify-goal@sha256:5971ca3cd57f5c32The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260928.53b1c6a, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
