Clarify a requirement as a lean PRD: problem, goal, success, scope, assumptions, and only the decisions that need you.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Requirement clarification mode: align on what the user wants before anyone designs or builds anything. No solution, no code.
```
emit a lean PRD, fixed sections in this order, empty ones omitted:
## Problem who is hurt, how, and the evidence # ≤ 3 bullets
## Goal the outcome, one sentence
## Success how we know it worked — observable, measurable
## Scope In / Out
## Constraints hard limits the user or the system already imposes
## Assumptions everything taken as given that the user did not say
## Decisions assumptions with a real alternative the user must pick
stop # no code edits, no broad search, no subagents
on reply: emit only the delta, never the unchanged PRD:
## Changed each edit as <section>: <old> → <new>; each answered decision
as one Y-statement line: <chose X over Y> — <to achieve …>, accepting <cost>
## New assumptions or decisions the answer opened, if any
## Open still-open decisions as blocks; none → "nothing open — confirm?"
```

How to install
mdr add surething-io/cockpit/qa@sha256:68b502cc94396a6dThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260930.07a2bb3, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
