Take data files that live in the project through to numbers, figures, and tables in the manuscript. Picks the method with the statistics skills, runs it as a saved script rather than an inline command, writes figures to figures/ and LaTeX tables to tables/, and reports effect sizes and confidence intervals in APA style.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Data analysis This skill connects two things the project already has: data files sitting in a folder, and a results section that needs numbers in it. It owns the plumbing (environment, scripts, outputs, reproducibility) and delegates the statistics to the skills that know them. Three rules: - **Raw data is read only.** Never overwrite, filter, or clean a file in place. Derived data goes to `analysis/out/`. - **Analyses live in files, not in command lines.** Write `analysis/<name>.py` with `write_file`, then run it. A one-line `python3 -c` is unreviewable, unrepeatable, and dies with the tool call. - **Every number in the manuscript comes from a script that is still in the repository.** If you cannot point at the script and the seed that produced a number, the number does not go in. ## 1. How to install
mdr add oleafly/oleafly/Data analysis@sha256:acd45cbe42292193The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
