Audit and consolidate an existing test suite — low-value, implementation-coupled or duplicated tests, duplicated setup, and the test-only production seams they keep alive. Evidence first, then one approved batch of edits. Campaign mode prunes a whole subsystem's test surface.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# /ws:test-audit — prune and consolidate a test suite
Audits the tests in the scope the operator names: tests that re-assert source,
duplicate stronger proof, couple behaviour to implementation, or keep test-only
production seams alive — and the duplicated setup `/ws:test-gate` deliberately
left behind. Optimise for confidence, not deletion count. Continue a broad audit
as separate coherent batches.

subsystem's whole test surface — every test file one package or area owns —

## 1. Scope and seed

- Read the root and scoped `AGENTS.md` / `CLAUDE.md` and `PROJECT.md` first.
- Seed the candidate list with every `ws:test-gate` entry in the notes file
that falls inside the scope.

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
