This skill should be used when a Colorado defendant has just been served with a civil complaint or petition. Triggers include "answer Colorado complaint", "I was sued in Colorado", "served with a summons in Colorado", "21 days to answer Colorado", "motion to dismiss Colorado", "C.R.C.P. 12(b)(5)", "affirmative defenses Colorado", "counterclaim Colorado", "default judgment Colorado", "first 30 days after being sued". Covers the C.R.C.P. 12 answer window…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Colorado — First 30 Days After Service > **NOT LEGAL ADVICE.** Time is short. This skill helps a defendant > sketch a response and surface the most important deadlines, but > consult a licensed Colorado attorney about substantive defenses > when possible. Use this skill when the defendant has **just been served** with a civil complaint, petition, or notice. It frames the first 30 days after service — the window in which the defendant must answer, move to dismiss, or risk default. ## The clock C.R.C.P. 12(a) sets the answer deadline: | Defendant | Deadline | Authority | |---|---|---| | Colorado resident, in-state personal service | **21 days** after service | C.R.C.P. 12(a)(1) | | Out-of-state defendant, personally served | **35 days** after service | C.R.C.P. 12(a)(2) | | Service by publication / mail (when court order) | **35 days** | C.R.C.P. 4(g) / 12(a)(3) | | Counterclaim or cross-claim (reply) | **21 days** | C.R.C.P. 12(a)(3) | | Response to amended complaint | **14 days** (or remainder of original time, whichever is longer) | C.R.C.P. 15(a) | Compute with `co-deadlines` — the C.R.C.P. 6(a)(1)(C) roll-forward …

How to install
mdr add codearranger/claude-legal/co-first-30-days@sha256:086584d3d444f4deThe line at the top of this page pins the label v0.1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
