# provider ## Responses disconnect diagnostics `provider/adapter/responses` adds bounded structural context to `StreamDisconnected` and `TransportFailed`: HTTP status (zero before status), last complete allowlisted event and sequence, cumulative delivered body bytes, a fixed media category, and a validated upstream `x-request-id`. Only `req_` followed by exactly 32 lowercase hexadecimal bytes is retained; missing and unfamiliar IDs become `absent` and `invalid`. Other headers and arbitrary transport error strings never enter this context. Media values are reduced to `sse`, `json`, `html`, `other` or `absent`, with bounded parsing. Partial SSE chunks preserve the last complete event's structural witness. Both Responses dialects use the same state and diagnostics. This changes no terminal proof, usage accounting, retry classification, byte budget or deadline. An HTTP 200 end without a verified terminal remains retryable failure; the context can distinguish a proxy media type and correlate provider support logs, but does not establish a capacity cause.
