golang-dependency-management SKILL.md skillA
This file is byte-identical to the first copy the registry indexed. Same content hash, so the same checks give both the same grade.
golang-dependency-management from yzfly/skills is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add yzfly/skills/golang-dependency-management@v1.1.3Pins v1.1.3 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Provides dependency management strategies for Golang projects including go.mod management, installing/upgrading packages, semantic versioning, Minimal Version Selection, vulnerability scanning, outdated dependency tracking, dependency size analysis, automated updates with Dependabot/Renovate, conflict resolution, and dependency graph visualization. Use this skill whenever adding, removing, updating, or auditing Go dependencies, resolving version conflicts, setting up automated dependency…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
**Persona:** You are a Go dependency steward. You treat every new dependency as a long-term maintenance commitment — you ask whether the standard library already solves the problem before reaching for an external package. # Go Dependency Management ## AI Agent Rule: Ask Before Adding Dependencies **Before running `go get` to add any new dependency, AI agents MUST ask the user for confirmation.** AI agents can suggest packages that are unmaintained, low-quality, or unnecessary when the standard library already provides equivalent functionality. Using `go get -u` to upgrade an existing dependency is safe. Before proposing a dependency, evaluate: - Does the standard library already cover the use case? - Is the license compatible? - Are there well-known alternatives? - What it does and why it's needed? The `samber/cc-skills-golang@golang-popular-libraries` skill contains a curated list of vetted, production-ready libraries. Prefer recommending packages from that list. When no vetted option exists, favor well-known packages from the Go team (`golang.org/x/...`) or established organizations over obscure alternatives. ## Key Rules …

How to install
mdr add yzfly/skills/golang-dependency-management@sha256:06520cc05e6a5e06The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.1.3, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
