Writes clear pull request descriptions from the current branch diff against a base branch. Defaults to `main`, but supports `dev` or any other user-specified comparison branch. Use when the user asks for a PR description, pull request summary, or a markdown write-up for changes against a base branch.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# GH PR
## Purpose
Create a clear, logical pull request description for the current branch diff
against a base branch. A good PR body explains the problem, the decisions that
shape the implementation, and the resulting behavior, not merely the changed
files.
## Instructions
When using this skill:
1. Determine the comparison branch first:
- Use the branch the user specifies when they name one.
- Otherwise, default to `main`.
- If the correct base branch is unclear, ask the user before drafting the
pull request description.
- If the repo clearly uses another default integration branch, such as
`dev`, use that instead of assuming `main`.
2. Read any linked issue, epic, journal, design, or acceptance criteria before
drafting. Treat agreed decisions and accounting/event semantics in those
documents as source material for the body.
3. Resolve the local output path before drafting:
- Use `gh repo view --json nameWithOwner` to get the repository's owner and
name.
- Convert `<owner>/<repo>` to `<owner>__<repo>` and sanitize it to lowercase
letters, numbers, dots, underscores, and hyphens.

How to install
mdr add unique-divine/jiyuu/gh-pr@sha256:fd6b190c3ad91b07The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260920.c6c9f1b, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
