Creates a reconstructible checkpoint before manual or automatic context compaction or a session handoff. Use for "컴팩션 준비해줘", "핸드오프 준비해줘", or prepare-for-compaction requests. Preserves durable facts and decisions, verifies Git/PR state, and overwrites one bounded resume anchor with one concrete next action and a short /compact pointer. Repeated runs are idempotent.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Compaction Handoff Protocol Context compaction is lossy. Create a deliberate checkpoint that lets the next session resume from verified state without replaying the full conversation. This protocol is **snapshot-based, not append-based**: - `MEMORY.md`: durable facts and pointers only. - `docs/decisions/`: durable, load-bearing decisions only. - `.handoff/CURRENT.md`: current resumable state; overwrite on every handoff. - Git and PR state: authoritative implementation snapshot. - `/compact` line: short pointer to the anchor, not another summary. > Claude Code compacts on its own when the context fills up. This skill defines **how** to > checkpoint before that happens — or before you compact by hand. ## Goals A valid handoff is: - **Recoverable:** the next session can start from one exact action. - **Atomic:** the anchor refers to one coherent repository state. - **Evidence-based:** verified results are distinct from claims and pending work. - **Compact:** only load-bearing information survives. - **Idempotent:** rerunning updates existing state instead of duplicating it. - **Bounded:** state files remain within fixed size limits. ## Trigger …

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
