# session_view ## Operator diagnostic metadata Protocol 055 adds optional `tool_availability.extension_refusals` to credited snapshot metadata. `snapshot_view.ToolAvailability` retains at most 32 strings of at most 2048 UTF-8 bytes each. An omitted field decodes to an empty list for old-daemon compatibility; wrong types, excess count or excess bytes refuse the entire capture before a host adopts it. The strings are server-owned startup observations, with no mutation or execution authority. ## Purpose The part of a Loom client that no host owns: the session lane that speaks the v2 conversation protocol, the decoders for what the daemon sends, the projection of a completed capture into a view, and the line builders that turn that view into transcript lines. It was extracted from `packages/tui` in phase 4 of issue #530 (ADR-013) so that a second host, the daemon's web view, can drive the same code the terminal does instead of a copy of it. "No host owns it" is literal.
