Bring a repo the rest of the way onto project-state spec v4 (retired PROGRESS/INBOX/TODO/plans files become issues, CHANGELOG history is rewritten to the entry format). - Use when the user says "migrate this repo", "bring this repo to the standard", or "fix the changelog history".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Migrate: the judgment half of a repo migration `workflow:standards` heals what is safe to heal automatically. Everything it can only REPORT lands here: each item destroys information or needs a human's call. It runs only when invoked; no hook fires it. Spec (SSOT for every rule below): the workkit plugin's `docs/project-state.md`. ## 0. Scope from the drift report, never from a fresh scan Run the reporter and migrate exactly what it names: ```sh bash ~/.claude/workkit/standards.sh --state <repo> # is the repo even opted in? bash ~/.claude/workkit/standards.sh <repo> # the drift report ``` - Deriving the list again here would let the two disagree about what counts as drift. - Report silent: the repo is already at the standard. Say so and stop. - Not opted in: not migrated. Offer `--enable` and stop. Migrating a repo that never said yes writes issues into someone else's tracker. - An argument narrows the run: `files` does §1 only, `changelog` does §2 only. Default is both. ## 1. Retired files → issues `PROGRESS.md`, `INBOX.md`, `TODO.md`, and `plans/` are retired. Their contents are work items, and work items live as GitHub issues. …

How to install
mdr add itw-creative-works/workkit/migrate@sha256:6ffe4bfc472f5370The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260927.3286e53, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
