Make sure to use this skill whenever the user mentions choosing a model, model selection, capability classes, binding models to agents or subagents, "which model for", or asking which model a run should use. Guides model choice for the parcel architecture under inherited routing — no agent declares a model, and the operator selects per gate or per batch at run time.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Model Routing (inherited routing + run-time selection) The parcel architecture uses **inherited routing**. No agent or subagent declares a model; every agent runs on **the model selected in the CLI / picker**. Where a run actually spawns subagents, the **operator chooses** which model each gate uses, at run time. This **supersedes registry-canonical binding** (`T1-E1.03`, 2026-09-13), which itself reversed `T1-E1.01` (2026-09-03, abstract capability slots). The lineage is recorded so the axis is never re-litigated blind: `.01` relocated the binding machinery and it kept growing; `.03` made the registry the single force-stamped source; this revision **deletes** the binding entirely rather than moving it again. ## 1. How to install
mdr add cmc-27/pass-the-parcel/model-routing@sha256:d5ffd8454ff9b757The line at the top of this page pins the label v11, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
