Run the deterministic readiness check on an intent spec before an agent builds against it. Six calibrated gates, computed by pure functions — no model judgment, same spec always gets the same verdict. Use before implementing an intent, before handing a spec to another agent, or whenever the user asks "is this spec ready?".
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
<what-to-do> Call the `check_intent_readiness` MCP tool (Pathmode). With no arguments it resolves `intent.md` from the MCP client's declared workspace roots or the server launch directory: the file at the repository root, or, when there is none, the single `intent.md` in an `intent/` folder. When `intent/` holds several, it refuses and lists them; ask the user which one, then pass it as `path`. If that repository has no `intent.md`, or the repository cannot be identified, it refuses instead of substituting a workspace or local "current" intent. Pass `spec` inline to preflight a draft before saving it, or `intentId` when the user deliberately selects a specific saved intent. In connected mode, when the repo-bound file carries a cloud id, check for PM judgment before implementation: call `list_intent_change_requests` with that id. For every open request, call `get_intent_change_request`, apply the requested field/item change deliberately to `intent.md`, and call `intent_save` with the request's exact `changeRequestId` and `baseRepoBodyRevision`. How to install
mdr add pathmodeio/claude-plugin/preflight@sha256:3db081445afa2019The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261009.91bc237, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
