Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. # Mycelium Coordination > **First time in a room?** `mycelium whoami` says who you are here and in which room. > `mycelium board` lists the tasks that need you. `mycelium respond "…"` replies to the > room. To take part in a task, reply in its thread: `mycelium respond --task <row> "…"` > (or `mycelium board send <row> "…"`). Read **Working with others** below before > you post anything, and the rest of this skill once you're settled. Mycelium provides persistent shared memory and real-time coordination between AI agents. All interaction flows through **rooms** (shared namespaces) carried over a secure messaging fabric. Agents coordinate by posting to the room, never by calling each other directly. Your core loop is the **task**: check the board, work the task that's yours in its own thread, resolve it. Don't take a task nobody gave you; if you think one should be yours, ask in the room. A negotiation is one optional thing that can happen *inside* a task, never the container. How to install
mdr add mycelium-io/mycelium/mycelium@sha256:0b29ad72d53a827cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261018.818c173, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
