Use at session start, after time away, on handoffs, or when planning, to read or update PROJECT.md: a root file with YAML frontmatter (status, phase, version, last_session, tech_stack, blockers, focus) plus short prose. Gives instant project state without re-deriving it from package.json or git history.

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved.
