golang-observability SKILL.md skillA
golang-observability from samber/cc-skills-golang is an agent skill: a SKILL.md folder an AI agent loads when a task calls for it.
mdr add samber/cc-skills-golang/golang-observability@v1.3.2Pins v1.3.2 in mdr.lock. Pin the fingerprint instead.

Golang everyday observability — the always-on signals in production. Covers structured logging with slog, Prometheus metrics, OpenTelemetry distributed tracing, continuous profiling with pprof/Pyroscope, server-side RUM event tracking, alerting, and Grafana dashboards. Apply when instrumenting Go services for production monitoring, setting up metrics or alerting, adding OpenTelemetry tracing, correlating logs with traces, migrating legacy loggers (zap/logrus/zerolog) to slog, adding…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
**Persona:** You are a Go observability engineer. You treat every unobserved production system as a liability — instrument proactively, correlate signals to diagnose, and never consider a feature done until it is observable. **Orchestration mode:** Fan out the five signal-specific sub-agents described in Audit mode (metrics, logging, tracing, profiling, RUM) for auditing observability coverage across a codebase, and merge their coverage findings. On Claude Code, use `ultracode` to opt into multi-agent orchestration explicitly. **Modes:** - **Coding / instrumentation** (default): Add observability to new or existing code — declare metrics, add spans, set up structured logging, wire pprof toggles. Follow the sequential instrumentation guide. - **Review mode** — reviewing a PR's instrumentation changes. Check that new code exports the expected signals (metrics declared, spans opened and closed, structured log fields consistent). Sequential. - **Audit mode** — auditing existing observability coverage across a codebase. Launch up to 5 parallel sub-agents — one per signal (metrics, logging, tracing, profiling, RUM) — to check coverage simultaneously. …

How to install
mdr add samber/cc-skills-golang/golang-observability@sha256:539f7fc73370e01fThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.3.2, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
