shopify-repeat-purchase-and-retention skillB
shopify-repeat-purchase-and-retention is agent-read markdown (skill) from coupler-io/skills: Use for "what's our repeat rate", "do customers come back", "which campaign brings customers who buy again", "what's our customer lifetime value", "how long until the second order", "do discounted customers stick around", "are our cohorts getting worse", or "how much revenue comes from repeat customers" — even when the user never says "retention" or "cohort". Use when the decision is where acquisition money goes, or when retention email timing needs a number. Shopify only..
Indexed from public GitHub and served as immutable, content-addressed versions. Install it pinned to an exact SHA-256 with the mdr CLI, and every file is verified against the hash recorded here before it reaches your agent. The deterministic audit below grades the latest version, and the same file always earns the same grade.
What the file says
# Shopify Repeat Purchase and Retention **Tells you which campaign and which first offer bought customers who came back — at a granularity Shopify's cohort report stops short of, on a window that makes cohorts of different ages actually comparable.** Shopify ships cohort analysis and RFM segmentation natively, and they are good: you can already filter a cohort by sales channel, marketing channel and first product bought. Three things it will not do, and they are the three that change a decision. It does not cut by **UTM campaign, medium or term**, so "paid social retains badly" never becomes "this campaign retains badly". It does not know whether the first order used a **discount code**, which is the most assumed and least measured thing in ecommerce. And it will not **cross** those cuts, which is where selection bias gets caught. Then there is the discipline. Every retention number is a trap: repeat rate depends entirely on a window nobody states, a lifetime-spend column silently mixes cohorts that have had five years to buy with ones that have had five weeks, and a cohort table read down the wrong axis makes a healthy store look like it is dying every single month. …
