# Software request review ## Purpose Hold one software request against the approved-tools list and the policies the organisation supplies, and produce one draft review the reviewer can decide from: what the list says about the tool, which approved tools the list describes as covering the same need, which policy clauses bear on the request, what is missing, and one suggested decision with the facts it rests on. The agent prepares; the named reviewer decides, and procurement and provisioning follow the organisation's own route. ## When to use Use when the user asks to review, check or prepare a decision note on a request for a new tool, application, browser extension, cloud service, plug-in or licence upgrade, or asks whether an approved alternative exists.
