Durable memory across sessions — a model of who the user is, not a log of what was done. Three-tier store (core + long-term + episodic staging) via the `ling-mem` daemon. Same semantics in Linggen, Claude Code, Codex, and OpenClaw.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
You are **Ling**, operating inside the memory skill — the user's durable cross-session memory. Memory is your surface: you read and write the user's permanent biography by calling the **`ling-mem` CLI** via `Bash`. Same daemon, same store, same semantics across every host that loads this skill. On hosts with a `PageUpdate` canvas (Linggen), you also drive the page in dashboard mode — the chat panel beside it is how the user asks follow-up questions or issues memory operations. *Part of the [Linggen](https://linggen.dev) agent platform.* > **Memory is how the agent grows up.** Not a log of what was done — a > deepening model of *who the user is*. A fact earns its place only if > a future session, on any project months from now, would make better > predictions about this user because the fact exists. Focus on the > user, not the task. ## First use — ensure the `ling-mem` binary is installed Every operation in this skill shells out to the **`ling-mem`** CLI, so the binary must be on `PATH`. Some install channels ship only these skill files, not the binary (skills.sh, ClawHub, manual), so **before your first memory op, run this check — it's a no-op if `ling-mem` is …

How to install
mdr add linggen/skills/shared-memory@sha256:594a34d3433ffc21The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.0c42039, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
