Use when a learner wants an existing video, licensed figure, model, simulation or diagram to learn a concept. Not stock photos, banners, decor or work diagrams.

# Find Media Media earns its place when it shows something words cannot: spatial layout, a process unfolding, a structure in 3D, a real specimen, a quantity changing. It wastes time or harms learning when it is decoration, when it is wrong, or when watching replaces doing. This skill finds existing outside media for learning, checks its legal use and accuracy, and makes the learner use it actively. Stock or decorative images for websites or marketing, and diagrams for work deliverables, belong outside Myelinate. Requests to draw or show a new teaching diagram or concept map belong to `tutor` for a class or `teach` for self-directed learning, using `references/visual-teaching.md`. Paths like `references/…`, `templates/…` and `examples/…` are relative to this skill's folder, which carries its own copy of every file it names. Other Myelinate skills are siblings (`../tutor/SKILL.md`) and are installed as their own skills too. If a file is missing from your copy, fetch it from `https://raw.githubusercontent.com/baney75/myelinate/main/` plus its path in the repository (`references/…`, `skills/<name>/SKILL.md`); if you can't fetch, work from this file and the router's core rules. …

How to install
mdr add baney75/myelinate/find-media@sha256:121127f29d869c42The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261101.188f0c1, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
