# Flashcards Cards exist for **durable recall of what the learner already understands**: fast, reliable access to facts, terms, relationships and steps so working memory is free for reasoning. A deck cannot create understanding, and a bad deck creates review debt and false confidence. Few, sharp cards beat many vague ones. Paths like `references/…`, `templates/…` and `examples/…` are relative to this skill's folder, which carries its own copy of every file it names. Other Myelinate skills are siblings (`../tutor/SKILL.md`) and are installed as their own skills too. How to install
mdr add baney75/myelinate/flashcards@sha256:a205010d3c5c90c4The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261102.0f324ff, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
