Internal skill: locate SPEC.md and extract the OKF version and conformance rules. Called by okf:create, okf:update, okf:reconcile, and okf:edit.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
Locate `SPEC.md` using the following search order:
1. The bundle root (or current working directory when called from `okf:create`).
2. Parent directories, walking up to the filesystem root.
3. If still not found, fetch from the upstream repository:

Extract and return to the calling skill (locate sections by title, not by number, since numbering changes between spec versions):
- The OKF version (for the `okf_version` field in the root `index.md`).
- Frontmatter field definitions ("Frontmatter" section).
- Reserved filenames and their required structure ("Reserved filenames", "Index files" and "Log files" sections).
- Conformance rules ("Conformance" section).Read the whole file at its exact version.
How to install
mdr add siculo/okf-skills/okf:_okf-skill-read-spec@sha256:d746e5b4e7ebf284The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
