Add new source documents to an existing OKF bundle; the skill classifies each piece of extracted knowledge as new, update, split, or conflict and proposes a structured diff before writing anything. Use when you have new files to ingest. Use okf:reconcile for a full alignment check against all existing sources; use okf:edit for a direct natural-language change that does not involve a source document.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
You are updating an existing OKF (Open Knowledge Format) bundle with new source documents. ## 1. Parse arguments `$ARGUMENTS` may contain: - A path to new source documents: a single file, a directory, or a glob pattern (required). - `bundle:<path>` — path to the existing bundle root (default: current working directory). If no source path is provided, ask the user before proceeding. ## 2. Read the spec Follow `okf:_okf-skill-read-spec`. ## 3. Read the existing bundle Follow `okf:_okf-skill-scan-bundle`. Use the returned index as the bundle state, including: - Concept ID → `type`, `title`, `description`, `resource`, `tags`, `timestamp` (and body in full mode). - Existing cross-links between concepts. - Current `index.md` contents per directory. ## 4. Read new source documents Read every source document at the given path. For each, extract the same information as in `/okf:create` step 3: topics, facts, relationships, external resources. ## 5. Classify changes For each piece of knowledge extracted from the new documents, decide which category it falls into: …

How to install
mdr add siculo/okf-skills/okf:update@sha256:7190221a64a3111fThe line at the top of this page pins the label v1.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
