Read-only git guardrails. No history writes, verify changes before completing. Used by speq agents during a speq run. Not for general git work. The headless orchestrators speq-plan-pr and speq-implement-pr use /speq-git-operations instead.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Git Discipline Git read-only guardrails. User controls all git writes. ## Allowed Commands ```bash git status git diff git log git show git branch ``` ## Forbidden Commands ``` add commit push pull fetch merge rebase cherry-pick checkout switch restore reset revert stash tag ``` **No exceptions.** ## Before Completing Work Verify expected changes: ```bash git status # Check files changed git diff # Review actual changes ``` ## Tracked vs Gitignored Spec Paths - Everything under `specs/_plans/<plan-name>/` except `notes/` is tracked and committed with the plan directory, never gitignored. This includes the evidence artifacts: - `open-questions.md` (present only while the plan is blocked) - `review/` (plan-review findings, `round-<N>.md`) - `review-findings.md` (code-review findings) - `tasks.md` and `verification-report.md` - The `notes/` directory under a plan is local working state and is not committed. It holds `planning.md` and the rotation hand-off notes (`notes/<group-letter>.md`). …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
