Query specs via the speq CLI: feature listing and reading, structure validation, and the absence check. Every speq orchestrator and sub-agent invokes this first for spec discovery or validation.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# speq CLI The CLI is installed locally and on the path. Invoke via `speq`. ## Reading Specs - Find a spec by listing the features with `speq feature list`, then read the relevant ones with `speq feature get`. - Read a feature with `speq feature get <domain>/<feature>`. It prints the description, the Background, and the scenarios. - Read the spec file directly only when exact text matters, and only the lines you need (`Read` with offset and limit). `speq feature get` does not print nested list items under a step or fenced code blocks inside a scenario. - Find before you read: `speq feature get '<domain>/<feature>/<scenario>'` for one scenario. How to install
mdr add marconae/speq-skill/speq-cli@sha256:12474ce006693ce4The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261011.5b73638, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
