Compose Cratis Components PivotViewer exploration, TimeMachine historical snapshots, Canvas pan/zoom boards and public Chat conversation/sidebar surfaces. Use when a table is not the right presentation, when supplying Pixi-backed content, or when binding host-owned chat data and actions. Do not use for DataPage lists, backend event replay, chat persistence, canvas tool palettes or Scene authoring.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Data beyond a table

Subpath exports: `Source/package.json`; each area's `index.ts` exports the types used below. Load **cratis-components-styling** for CSS/provider setup and **cratis-components-accessibility** for localized names. For tabular queries use **cratis-arc-react-page**; for a board tool palette use **cratis-components-toolbar**.
These are **presentation contracts**. The host owns loading, access control, data acquisition and persistence. A timeline slider is not event replay; a chat send callback is not a durable write.

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-components-data-surfaces@sha256:a74959c60eafd5c3The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261013.615e6a9, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
