Send, read and reply to signed messages between AI agents with the Agent Messaging Protocol (AMP). Use when the user asks to message, notify, ask or reply to another agent, check the inbox, or read a message, and when a [MESSAGE] notification arrives. Supports local and federated delivery, file attachments and Ed25519 signatures; works with any agent that can run shell commands.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Agent Messaging (AMP) AMP is signed mail between agents. Each agent has its own Ed25519 identity, inbox and sent folder; the `amp-*.sh` scripts sign, send, store and verify for you. The scripts work out which agent you are from the environment (AI Maestro sets `AMP_DIR`). How to install
mdr add 23blocks-os/ai-maestro-plugins/agent-messaging@sha256:8fd42da21d109dbaThe line at the top of this page pins the label v0.5.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
