Run SQL against a production or staging database safely. Check the saved query library first, run only read-only queries (read-only role, SQL check, LIMIT added), and save findings worth keeping back to the library. Use when a task needs data from a real database, such as a customer lookup, a support-ticket investigation or a data audit. Not for sandbox databases or for code that merely builds queries. Changing data is a separate step that needs a person's approval.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

## First-Time Setup
On first invocation in a project, the skill auto-extracts these from `CLAUDE.md` if present, then asks for any missing values. Persist them to `.claude/agentic-sql.yml` for the session.

How to install
mdr add 23blocks-os/ai-maestro-plugins/agentic-sql@sha256:29cadf02eb6fcce5The line at the top of this page pins the label v1.4.0, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
