Repair and harden CI/CD pipelines with evidence gates.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

## OBJECTIVE

Your goal is to build automation that enforces the full release chain: source -> artifact -> bundle -> deployment.

## PROTOCOL
### Phase 1: The Local Police

1. **Install Fast Hooks**:
- Secret scan
- Formatter
- Linter
- Generated-file drift checks
2. **Keep Hooks Fast**:
- No heavy integration or E2E suites here.
3. **Block Known Release Footguns**:
- Mutable tag usage in deploy configs
- Missing lockfiles / manifests
- Secrets in repo
- Unsynced generated docs or command exports when the repo depends on them
### Phase 2: Source Gate
*Reject broken source before spending money on builds.*
1. **Checkout + Deterministic Setup**.
2. **Run Source Verification**:
- Lint
- Typecheck
- Unit tests
- Integration tests
3. **Run Contract Checks**:
- Env var docs vs code
- Manifest / schema drift
- Release-note / deployment-doc references that can be checked from source
### Phase 3: Artifact Gate
*Build once. Test that exact build.*

How to install
mdr add lyther/agent-surface/ship-cicd@sha256:5d2f278ef6feb0b2The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260806.146d8e8, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
