This skill should be used when end to end or visual regression has to be set up for the current project, for example "set up e2e", "set up visual regression", "register a surface", "remove a surface", "take the first baselines", "add a page to the visual review", or when a stage's offer, at scope, design or review, gets a yes on a kind. It installs the harness from the framework's recipe, writes the surface file review runs, and takes first baselines with a person present.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Surfaces Set up the surfaces review runs: end to end and visual regression. The framework decides how, and that answer lives in a recipe outside this plugin. Setup takes no task folder, the way the tool skill does. With no task active, it runs at the code path. Run from inside a task's worktree, which is outside the code path, it runs there instead, so the setup ships with the task's branch. The review skill runs the surfaces; this skill only sets them up. The guards live in the script: `--confirmed` and `decline` refuse unattended. This skill waits for a plain yes before `install`. So a stage's offer may invoke it. Every call below runs `surfaces-actions.sh`, named in this skill's own grant, so it runs without asking. Read the exit code first, never the text alone. Exit 1 means no project owns this directory: say so, name the project skill, and stop. ## Determine the run mode Read the active task's run mode. A task that states none is interactive, and so is a call with no task active. Pass `--run-mode autonomous` on every call only when the task states it, or states `light`. Decide this …

How to install
mdr add camoa/claude-skills/surfaces@sha256:e917de4cea4223d2The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261028.6aa4db5, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
