Add Chronicle projection behavior to an existing read model - model-bound attributes first, the fluent IProjectionFor builder when they cannot express the shape. Covers AutoMap, keys, children and nested types, counters, event-sequence selection, variants (VariantOf and EntersOn, as attributes or fluent calls) for an entity with mutually exclusive lifecycle shapes such as a work item that is a backlog entry then a pull request then closed, and the startup-crash traps. Use when populating a…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Chronicle projections A projection consumes **events** and produces read-model state. It is pure: no side effects, and it never reads another read model. Prefer model-bound attributes on the read model; use the fluent builder when mappings need structure or the model should stay attribute-free; choose reducer code when state transitions read better as code. Follow the [read-model style ladder](../cratis-chronicle-read-model/SKILL.md#step-3--choose-a-projection-or-a-reducer): a self-reducing model is the new .NET reducer default, not a mandatory separate class. See [reducers](../cratis-chronicle-reducer/SKILL.md) for that contract. ## Verified product sources Sources: | Package | Purpose | | --- | --- | | `Cratis.Chronicle` | `Cratis.Chronicle.Projections`, `Cratis.Chronicle.Projections.ModelBound`, `Cratis.Chronicle.Keys`, `Cratis.Chronicle.EventSequences`; self-model builder conflicts (`Source/Clients/DotNET/ReadModels/ReadModelBuilderOwnership.cs`, `Reducers/SelfReducerMethods.cs`) | Reverify product sources before claiming support for another version. > `[ReadModel]` and `[Path]` are **Arc** types (`Cratis.Arc.Queries.ModelBound`), …

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-chronicle-projection@sha256:ed1eade38dae5343The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.0dcf320, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
