Telegram Bot skill for sending and editing Telegram messages via Bot API. Use when Bub needs to: (1) Send a message to a Telegram user/group/channel, (2) Reply to a specific Telegram message with reply_to_message_id, (3) Edit an existing Telegram message, or (4) Push proactive Telegram notifications. Prefer rich formatted messages (headings, lists, tables, blockquotes, math, collapsible details, captioned media) over plain markdown whenever the content is more than one short paragraph.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. Agent-facing execution guide for Telegram outbound communication.

## Required Inputs
Collect these before execution:
- `chat_id` (required)
- `message_id` (required for edit or reply)
- message content (required for send/edit)
- `reply_to_message_id` (required when you need a threaded reply)
## Rich Messages (Bot API 10.1+, June 2026) — **PREFERRED**
For any message that benefits from structured formatting — headings, bullet/numbered lists, tables, blockquotes, collapsible `<details>`, captioned media, math blocks, code blocks with language hints, or mixed media — use the dedicated `telegram_rich.py` script with `rich-html-style` markup. This is the **first-choice** path; fall back to plain markdown (`telegram_send.py`) only for short single-paragraph replies.

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
