Provision a fully-runnable git worktree for parallel feature work so a long-running plan (or experiment) can build, test, lint, run migrations, and hit databases without disturbing the main checkout — or other parallel worktrees. Reads the active plan (when given one) plus the project's `.gitignore`, package manifests, env templates, and docker config to decide what to copy (every dependency tree gets its own per-worktree copy, never a symlink), what to fork…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Prepare worktree Provision a git worktree the agent (or human) can `cd` into and immediately `lint` / `test` / `build` / `migrate` / `run` against — without touching the main checkout, and without colliding with any other live worktree on the same machine. A bare `git worktree add` is not enough. The runnable parts of any non-trivial app live in *ignored* files and dirs (`node_modules/`, `.env*`, `venv/`, `vendor/`, local SQLite DBs, `.localstack/`, `docker-compose.override.yml`, etc.). This skill walks those ignored paths and decides, per-path: - **Copy** — every dependency tree (`node_modules/`, `vendor/`, `venv/`, …), always, whether or not the plan adds deps. Also anything the feature mutates (`.env` for a new var, the migrations dir). Copies are copy-on-write clones where the filesystem supports them, so they cost little disk. Dependency dirs are **never** symlinked, because tools resolve real paths. A symlinked `node_modules` sends bundler / test-runner / type-checker caches, `postinstall` output and any install back into the main checkout, where they collide with other worktrees and trip the sandbox. …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
