Cut a release of `vinta-ai-workflows` — pick patch / minor / major / alpha bump, close the in-progress CHANGELOG section (stable only — alpha keeps it open), bump `package.json.version`, commit, tag, push. Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Release This repo ships **two** npm packages from one version number: `vinta-ai-workflows` (the root — the bootstrap CLI and the skills) and `vinta-ai-maestro` (`packages/vinta-ai-maestro` — the orchestrator daemon). They are bumped, tagged and published together; a consumer reading two different numbers for one release has no way to tell which is which. Stable releases are: bump version + close CHANGELOG section + tag + push + cut the GitHub release. Alpha pre-releases are the same, minus closing the CHANGELOG section — the placeholder stays open so bullets accumulate across the alpha series until the stable graduates — and the GitHub release is marked a pre-release. **Publishing is not a step anyone runs.** The tag push triggers `.github/workflows/publish.yml`, which packs with `pnpm` and publishes with `npm` under trusted publishing (OIDC): no token exists to leak, and the dist-tag is derived from the version so an alpha cannot land on `latest`. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
