Rewrite code comments and docs touched during the current conversation into Simple English, stripping AI-slop / AI-lingo vocabulary and negative framing, and delete the ones that should not be there at all. Use when the user says "deslop these comments", "clean up the comments we just wrote", "rewrite this in plain English", or after a review flags comments as convoluted/AI-sounding. Comment-only - never changes function names, APIs, or behavior.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.

# Deslop comments Rewrites comments and doc blocks into short, direct Simple English, and deletes the ones that should not be there. This is a comment-only pass: no renames, no logic changes, no behavior changes. Prefer fewer and shorter comments. Deleting one is a normal result, not a last resort. Default to one line, and add more only when the extra lines say something the code cannot. Some comments only need rewording. Others should not exist at all, whatever the wording - a list of call sites, another module's internals, a plan that never shipped. Delete those; making them shorter does not help. ## Scope Default scope is **files the current task actually created or edited** - find the candidate set with `git diff --name-only` / `git status --short` against the base the conversation started from. If the user names specific files, a directory, or a Pull Request instead, use that scope. …

How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
