Teach the user a new skill or concept over multiple sessions, using the current directory as a stateful teaching workspace. Trigger: teach, teach me, learn, I want to learn, help me understand, next lesson.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. What the file says
The user wants to learn something. This is stateful — they intend multiple sessions. ## Teaching Workspace The workspace separates shareable curriculum from private learner state: - `RESOURCES.md` — verified sources with trust ratings (populated BEFORE lessons) - `lessons/*.html` — self-contained HTML lessons (one concept each) - `reference/*.html` — scannable lookup companions to lessons - `assets/` — shared components (CSS, JS, diagrams) - `.user/learner-profile.md` — mission, pace, preferences, working notes, and demonstrated understanding - `.user/learning-records/` — private quiz and SR outcomes Never write learner-specific state to committed paths such as `MISSION.md`, `NOTES.md`, or `learning-records/`. Curriculum, sources, maps, and lesson assets remain shareable. ## Workflow 1. **Mission first.** Read `.user/learner-profile.md`; if it has no mission, check whether a legacy `MISSION.md` carries a real mission (a pre-#361 workspace the scaffolder hasn't backfilled) and migrate it into the profile — leave `MISSION.md` untouched; otherwise ask why they're learning this. Don't produce a lesson without a mission. …

How to install
mdr add smileynet/teach-me/teach@sha256:2b6ec2156c059d4cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260918.d21871d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
