Navigate the cratis CLI's terminal Workbench - the full-screen TUI launched with `cratis chronicle workbench`. Use when exploring a running Chronicle store interactively rather than answering one question with a single command, when locating an observer, failure, event type, projection or read model by name, or when capturing read-only evidence from a live store. Do not use for the browser Workbench, and do not use for scripted or piped inspection.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# The terminal Workbench `cratis chronicle workbench` opens a full-screen terminal view over one event store and namespace. It is the CLI's exploration surface: the same read-only data the individual `cratis chronicle …` commands return, arranged so you can move between observers, failures, jobs, events, projections and read models without re-typing a connection. **"Workbench" names two different products.** This skill is about the terminal Workbench that ships in the `cratis` CLI. The browser Workbench is a separate React application served by the Chronicle server, with a different and larger capability set — including redaction and revision, which the terminal Workbench does not have. ## Verified product sources Sources: | Package | Purpose | | --- | --- | | `Cratis.Cli` | `cratis chronicle workbench`, its views, keys, and actions | The workbench has fifteen views; keys are in [WorkbenchKeyDispatcher.cs](https://github.com/Cratis/cli/blob/main/Source/Cli/Commands/Chronicle/Workbench/windows/WorkbenchKeyDispatcher.cs) and output validation is in [WorkbenchCommand.cs](https://github.com/Cratis/cli/blob/main/Source/Cli/Commands/Chronicle/Workbench/WorkbenchCommand.cs). …

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-cli-terminal-workbench@sha256:b1d218acc3e98ff4The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261013.9c1bacb, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
