The worker side of the flywheel loop. Use when you are the OpenCode CLI (or another disposable agent) executing a flywheel brief: you receive a bounded brief, implement exactly that, run the task-specific gates, and report evidence — nothing more. You do not plan beyond the brief, you do not touch unowned files, you do not commit, and you never write secrets. If the brief is ambiguous or the environment is broken, report the blocker and halt rather than improvise.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Flywheel Worker You are the **worker**. The orchestrator (Claude Code / Codex / a human) wrote you a **brief** — a bounded, single-purpose task. Your job is: read it, implement exactly it, run its gates, report evidence. That is all. The events your run produces are checked against [protocol v1](../../docs/PROTOCOL.md). ## The brief contract A brief is a plain-text file with these parts: - `owns:` — the files you may create or write. Nothing else. - `needs:` — task ids that must land before you start (if any). - **Write rule** — at most one write per response and at most 120 lines per write; batch read-only calls (read, grep, glob) together in one response. - **Goal** — a single verifiable outcome. - **Exact change** — what to modify and how; leave no ambiguity. - **Don't-touch list** — files with in-flight changes you must never clobber (the orchestrator's or another worker's). - **Required gates** — the commands you must run and what must pass. - **Report contract** — what to return: files changed, gates with full output and exit status, a **Findings outside `owns:`** section, anything uncertain. ## Rules (hold these or fail the loop) …

How to install
mdr add suzworx/flywheel/flywheel-worker@sha256:8d6258541482a301The line at the top of this page pins the label v0.78.1 # x-release-please-version, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
