Search literature and drive OpenResearch experiments through the local orx CLI, then record every run in the project so the results reach the manuscript. Use when the user mentions orx, OpenResearch, an experiment tree, a run id, or wants an experiment launched, polled, or written up.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # OpenResearch (orx) `orx` is the OpenResearch CLI. It keeps projects, experiment trees, runs, logs, and artifacts on the user's machine, and it also searches literature (alphaXiv, OpenAlex, bioRxiv). Oleafly does not bundle it and never installs it. Everything here runs through `run_command`, which executes one shell line in the open project directory. Each call asks the user for approval unless they have allowed shell commands for this project, so keep one meaningful step per call. ## 1. Check that orx is installed ```sh command -v orx || echo missing ``` - A path comes back: continue. - `missing` comes back: go to step 2 and do not attempt any other `orx` command. Check once per conversation and remember the answer. Do not re-probe before every call. `run_command` uses a login shell, so it sees `~/.cargo/bin` and `~/.local/bin` even when the app's own PATH does not. ## 2. When orx is missing Do not install it. Show the user the official installer and stop: ```sh curl -LsSf https://openresearch.sh/install.sh | sh orx up ``` `orx up` opens the local dashboard on http://127.0.0.1:4791. How to install

This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
