Manage Things 3 via the `things` CLI on macOS (add/update projects+todos via URL scheme; read/search/list from the local Things database). Use when a user asks Cybara to add a task to Things, list inbox/today/upcoming, search tasks, or inspect projects/areas/tags.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. # Things 3 CLI Use `things` to read your local Things database (inbox/today/search/projects/areas/tags) and to add/update todos via the Things URL scheme. Setup - Install (recommended, Apple Silicon): `GOBIN=/opt/homebrew/bin go install github.com/ossianhempel/things3-cli/cmd/things@latest` - If DB reads fail: grant **Full Disk Access** to the calling app (Terminal for manual runs; `Cybara.app` for gateway runs). - Optional: set `THINGSDB` (or pass `--db`) to point at your `ThingsData-*` folder. - Optional: set `THINGS_AUTH_TOKEN` to avoid passing `--auth-token` for update ops. How to install
mdr add metaspartan/cybara/things-mac@sha256:933081488a405ad1The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260218.a87179d, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
