Specify declarative projections and reducer wiring with ReadModelScenario from Cratis.Chronicle.Testing — seeding events through Given and asserting on the materialized instance; start with Specification plus a direct call for pure reducer decisions. Use when the behavior under specification is how events become read-model state. Do not use to create a read model and do not use for raw event append behavior.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# Chronicle read-model specifications
`ReadModelScenario<TReadModel>` runs a projection or a reducer in-process
against a sequence of events. No Chronicle server, no database, no network — the
events go in, the materialized instance comes out.
Pure reducer decisions use `Specification` plus a direct method call by
default, with the event and current state supplied explicitly (for a self model,
`Model.Reduce(@event, current)`). Add
`ReadModelScenario<TReadModel>` only where declarative projection behavior,
event dispatch, filtering, metadata or read-model wiring contribute proof.
For a read-model scenario specification the **`Given` *is* the act**. There
is no separate `When`: seeding the events is what makes the projection run.

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-chronicle-read-model-specifications@sha256:4c1f4098124bd6c6The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.8b817dc, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
