Use when splitting Cratis services, connecting event stores or designing public cross-service event contracts. Not for local process orchestration, tenancy within one store or Screenplay boundary modeling.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
<!-- Copyright (c) Cratis. All rights reserved. --> <!-- Licensed under the MIT license. See LICENSE file in the project root for full license information. --> # Several Cratis services, several event stores A multi-service Cratis system is several applications, each owning one Chronicle **event store** (the top-level container of its event sequences, event types, observers and read models), talking to each other only through **public contract events**. The producer publishes to its **outbox**; Chronicle forwards each subscribed event into the consumer store's **inbox** for that producer (`inbox-<producer store>`); the consumer translates it into its own private facts. Requires Chronicle 19.36.0 or later (`dotnet list package`) for `[Public]`, kernel visibility enforcement and publishing through an event-target projection. Older clients register event types with unspecified visibility, which the kernel admits to the outbox with a warning; upgrade before relying on the rules below. ## Decide these first 1. **One event store per service, one kernel for all of them.** A Chronicle kernel hosts many fully isolated stores. Forwarding between stores happens inside the …

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-multi-service-architecture@sha256:467d7e25f260179bThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261026.fc845e3, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
