Audit a project or system across code, architecture, security, dependencies, tests, operations, and repository integrity.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
## OBJECTIVE Perform an evidence-backed audit at the depth justified by the project's maturity, exposed risks, and requested claim. Security is one audit domain, not a separate mandatory ceremony. `qa-audit` is broad and read-only. Use `qa-review` for a focused review of a current diff and `qa-trace` for deep root-cause, dataflow, race, or exploitability tracing. Route accepted remediation through the appropriate development or operations workflow. ## INPUT ```text qa-audit [target] [--domain architecture|code|security|dependencies|tests|operations|repository|all] [--depth quick|standard|deep] [--maturity prototype|mvp|core|usable|production|business|auto] ``` Defaults: `--domain all --depth standard --maturity auto`. ## SCOPE GATE Before running tools, resolve: - the target tree, artifact, service, or deployment; - the maturity and claim being assessed; - the user-visible and externally reachable surfaces; - applicable repository policy, threat boundaries, and acceptance evidence; - exclusions and unavailable real dependencies. …

How to install
mdr add lyther/agent-surface/qa-audit@sha256:306816dd55cfe7d4The line at the top of this page pins the label git:20260806.146d8e8, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
