Talk to a Chronicle server from a standalone .NET application with the Cratis.Chronicle client - connection strings, ChronicleClient construction outside any host, AddCratisChronicle for a worker or ASP.NET host, [EventType] records, IEventSequence.Append, reactors and reducers found by assembly scanning, the connection lifecycle and registration wait, and the client/server compatibility check. Use when a console, worker, or service app connects to Chronicle directly. Do not use for Arc…
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# The Chronicle client for .NET
`Cratis.Chronicle` is a **standalone client SDK**. A console app, a worker, or a
service constructs a client, asks it for an event store, and appends or observes.
There is no host requirement and no application architecture imposed.
> **This is not the Arc integration.** In an Arc application, Chronicle is wired
> in for you and commands return events that Arc appends. Everything below is the
> layer underneath: what an application that is *not* Arc has to do itself.

How to install
mdr add cratis/ai/cratis-chronicle-client-dotnet@sha256:fe9f843fb37982efThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261014.ffa4391, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
