Makes a small, obvious fix directly, without the feature pipeline: a typo, a reversed condition, a missing null check, a stray import, or a patch or minor dependency bump. One concern, usually under 20 lines, in C# or Lit/TypeScript. Escalates to the feature pipeline if the fix turns out bigger.
Collected from public GitHub. Every version is saved exactly as it was and never changes. Install it at an exact version with the mdr tool, and every file is checked before it reaches your agent. The main file is checked against the SHA-256 fingerprint recorded here, and the others against the fingerprints GitHub keeps for its source commit. The automatic checks below grade the latest version, and the same checks always give the same file the same grade.
What the file says
# quick-fix For the trivial stuff: the kind of bug where opening `feature-explore` → `feature-design` → `feature-plan` → `feature-build` would be absurd. This skill is deliberately outside the `feature-*` pipeline naming — it's an escape hatch *around* the pipeline, not a phase in it. ## Scope - IN: one-spot fixes a competent engineer would commit straight to the default branch without ceremony. Single concern, usually under ~20 lines. A dependency version bump counts: one package, or one group of dev-only ones, with no code change beyond the version. - OUT: anything that needs a design call, touches a public method's signature (that's the `[Obsolete]`-proxy discipline in `umbraco-package-conventions`/`umbraco-backoffice- conventions`, not a quick-fix), renames a backoffice manifest `alias` (a silent breaking change per `umbraco-backoffice-conventions`), changes behavior across modules, or needs more than one new test. A bug fix may add one regression test for the bug. If it smells like any of that, **stop and escalate** — suggest `feature-plan` (if a plan folder already covers this area) or `feature-explore` (if it doesn't). ## Argument …

How to install
mdr add mattbrailsford/umbraco-devkit/quick-fix@sha256:ee58d24acb09887cThe line at the top of this page pins the label git:20261019.76da080, which is what most people want. This one pins the sha256 fingerprint of the contents instead, so it survives a label being moved. Either way the exact version is written to mdr.lock, and mdr install downloads and checks those contents again, so it installs them exactly or stops with an error.
